Project Overview:

TITLE: Princeton University
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:
This project was multiple tasks over an extended period of time and included management and technical expertise for collecting space data for all classrooms on Princeton University's campus. We developed the approach and tools for collecting the data and provided the technical staffing for the assimilation of this data in the University's CAFM database. This included the poly lining and editing of nearly 1.2 millions sq ft of space data including Audio and Video equipment and classroom furniture. PDA's were developed to be utilized in the continuing inventory of classroom A/V equipment.
FSG managed the project which included University staff as well as two subcontractors performing field work.

Specific Performance:

  • Developed charge back calculations for indirect cost recovery on a department by department basis
  • Deployed web-based CAFM software
  • Training for end-users and provide on call customer support via email, phone and
    on-site visits

Project Overview:

TITLE: Dow Jones
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:
FSG implemented a CAFM system for Dow Jones & Companies worldwide that included space planning and utilization, charge backs, strategic planning, real estate and lease management, move management, and most recently a Blackberry enabled maintenance system. The CAFM system implementation includes both client-server and web based solutions. FSG developed web-based Property and Lease module that integrates with PeopleSoft to pay monthly rent checks and produces annual space chargeback reports on a global basis.
The real estate information is being managed from the US and Europe with full security, currency conversion, data entry, financial integration and strategic analysis reporting.

This project included conducting a needs analysis of existing systems and processes, a technology audit, developing new processes, developing an implementation plan, integrating the CAFM system with PeopleSoft, converting and developing new datasets, integrating with space module and linking area calculations from polylines for the space chargeback reports. The project also involved integrating data feeds from HR for department and staff information as well as developing processes for system maintenance.
